The journal takes complaints seriously and treats them as an opportunity to improve. Complaints may concern editorial decisions, the conduct of peer review, the behaviour of an editor or reviewer, publication ethics, or the journal's processes.

•      Appeals against a rejection must be made by the corresponding author within [30] days, addressed to editor@businessfrontiers.org, and must set out a point-by-point, evidence-based response to the reviewers' and editor's comments. New data may be submitted in support.

•      Appeals are considered by the Editor-in-Chief or, where the Editor-in-Chief made the original decision, by an independent member of the editorial board. Additional review may be sought. The decision on an appeal is final.

•      Complaints are acknowledged within [5] working days and resolved within [8] weeks; where the investigation takes longer, the complainant is informed of progress.

•      If a complainant remains dissatisfied, the matter may be referred to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Submitting an appeal does not delay the author's right to submit the manuscript elsewhere once the rejection stands.
